How It All Started
Hey! I'm Alex, Director of CareChef. I have over 20 years of experience working within the hospitality industry and I've worked in many Care Homes as a Chef during that time. My wife, Chelsea was also a Care Assistant for 10 years. So, combined, we feel well equipped to launch CareChef.
CareChef supply temporary Chefs and Kitchen Assistants to the health and social care sector.
Our Chefs specialise in providing fresh, nutritious and delicious meals.
We offer reasonable rates and rest assured, all of our Chefs and Kitchen Assistants will have full disclosures and criminal record checks carried out prior to working with you.

Staff Shortages, Holiday and Sickness Cover
Whether you're short of staff in the kitchen or just in need of an extra pair of hands, we're here to help. We supply Chefs and Kitchen Assistants, on a temporary basis to the Health and Social Care sector for however long you require cover.
Menu Planning and Budgeting
Using our knowledge of suppliers, procurement and budgets, we can help to steer you in the right direction. We know that budget can be a restraint on businesses, which is why we will always try new techniques and ideas to help manage it where possible.
Food Waste Management
Food waste is a huge problem in any food based industry. Our goal is to provide advice and guidance in minimising unnecessary food wastage whenever we can.
Audits
CareChef provide a small auditing service, as we know it can be difficult to keep on top of things. We make sure that your company standards are upheld and stocks and revenues are in line with regulations, ensuring that the best care is given to residents.

CareChef are always looking for Chefs and Kitchen Assistants to join our team.We provide support and training for all of our staff members. Experience within a care home setting is preferable but not essential. However, all candidates must apply for a PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) scheme if they don't already have an existing one.
